What a list but some really great suggestions all the same, it will take some time to digest it all. Regards Des

As a kick-off to sharing ideas between our three clubs, following are a few I had from Clonakilty and Key West clubs:Consistent advertising pays off in new members, but it must be over an extended period of time. Meeting announcements on local radio and in free publications receive attention. Color photos of Toastmasters at special (or even usual) events get attention and enhance credibility within the community. Open/special meetings for the public, in an easily accessible venue, can gain 3-4 new members, eventually if not immediately. An "Educational Minute" at the start of each minute can keep members focused on educational goals. Try to have assistant, as well as primary, officers; they cover when primary officers are absent are learn the duties so they can perhaps slide into primary role the following year. These may bring other tips to mind; if so, please share. This is a fun opportunity. Regards from Ann King, Clonakilty and Key West Toastmasters clubs-- Ann King and Rick TothDonaughmore, LislevaneBandon, County CorkIrelandTel/Fax: +353-(0)23-884-0423
