Tiger Woods public statement a master oratory?

Friday, February 19th 2010 @ 4:39 PM    post viewed 221 times

Hi Everyone.

I have just listen to Tiger Wood's public apology to his family, closest friends and the media.

What is your opinion of his peformance.  Some would suggest that it was a masterpiece in public speaking....what do you think?

Hey Ash,

good to hear from you and great post!

hmmm, I giuess Tiger had 3 months to prepare this presentation....it was very well executed and he got his message across!

Did it achive its objective.  Well yes/no.  I can see he is remorseful for what has happened and I see he wants to make amends.  The timing is questionable considering this announcement happened during the middle of a major golf tournment of his ex-sponsors! :-)

I must admit that I felt that anything he had to say 3 months after was of no value to me and have not seen any version of it.  I think that the explination given to his wife may have carried some thing but it should always remain between them.  Personally apart from the number of girls what he has done should have no effect on the sport.  It will effect him and his family for a very long time.  All of us men would be thinking I wish I could do as well with the women but to deal with the consequences it would take as much money as Tiger has spent on having his public statement written and then being coached in it;s delivery.  If it had been all his own words then it may have held some value.
