If you cast your minds back, you may just remember the days when you started down the management and leadership path. When I look back, I was greatful for the advice people gave, especially my mentors who made a great deal of difference to my career. So here are some suggestions, but more importantly, what advice can you offer?
Shane's tips....
- Be humble and respectful to others so you can develop your relationships with people and grow a strong network of supporters
- Become self-aware, and to learn all you can about your strengths and weaknesses so you can develop yourseld and keep learning.
- develop their active listening skills so they understand the message they are hearing from others
- Empower your team and make them feel valued so they become a high performance team and deliver real results.
- try things out and not to be afraid to make mistake as you will learn from this experience.
- Lastly, enjoy the experience!
So, good luck members and guests on your journey as a leader!!
