LSF - May 2010 Competition
Wednesday, May 5th 2010 @ 1:20 AM
If you were the leader what would you do in the following situation....
Situation:
You have just been elected as United Nations Secretary General and your first task is to give your views on how to proceed with the Middle East Crisis.
Your views should be to give some new practical suggestions to help bring some peaceful progress for the Palestinians and Israelis.
Background:
There is no other region in the world that suffers such civil unrest, such conflict -- cultural, economical, religious and political -- between countries and peoples. At the same time, there is no other region in the world that has demonstrated such resilience and determination to persevere. As the countries of the Middle East develop, they must be mindful that they cannot succeed in isolation. Each is inextricably linked by history, politics, economics and culture. And so, the next generation of leaders in the region – business leaders, government leaders, civic leaders must come together.
