Hello from iToast Toastmasters!

posted by Justin Barry, Group AdministratorMonday, January 18th 2010 @ 9:17 PM

Our club, iToast Toastmasters, is a young club. We are completing our first year as a transfer club. This week marked a special day for our club because we had 28 attendants at our last meeting (10 guests). Following are some of the things we have been doing that have helped bring attention to our club:
  • The club maintains a group of Toastmaster 'supporters'. These are members of surrounding clubs that attend our meetings and help spread the word.
  • The club actively participates and organizes area-level events. This past Fall our area enjoyed a potluck event where members from various clubs shared food and time together.
  • Our members participate in community activities that benefit from public speaking abilities, which help publicize toastmasters.
Our club meets twice a month. I will share your email and ideas with our club.
Sincerely,
Mark Wright
VP Public Relations for iToast Toastmasters, Ames Iowa.
