Hello Everyone.

I have been asked to organise and run a faciliation workshop next week on the Business plan for next year.

I have an agenda lined up for this which I feel is okay.

I just want to ask what rules I need to communicate to the group when running a facilaition workshop so the meeting runs to time and don't get bogged down in any issues?

Hello Neville,

I don't have too much experience in this area but have attended some faciliation workshops to give some ideas for you.

A clear agenda is explained at the outset and the overiding point that is made is that we try and stick to the schedule.

Before you begin each session, outline the objectives and the rules involved.

A good faciliator is one that encourages everyone to participate. That would often mean asking questions to the quiter members of the group so they get involved.

I know Sheelagh Lambert has experience in workshop faciliation, I see if she has some time to give some advice.
