Leadership is all about taking big risks to bring about significant change. Has this been the case with the pope's Middle East visit? |

This was an historic visit with plenty of potential banana skins and all of them successfully avoided. The Pope was genuinely and warmly welcomed by the Muslim communities, both for the core messages and value of a faith with common heritage, and for his willingness to listen to and address the sufferings of the Palestinian people Brendan |

The Pope is not really relevant these days . He heads an organisation that is mired in child sex abuse . Anyway besides that he will have difficultly building bridges with a Jewish state considering the Vaticans role in assisting Nazis and his own background in Hitler Youth . |

The only religious leaders who seem to inspire anything these days are the Ayatollahs Sean P. |

While i didn't follow the Pope's visit to the Middle East very closely, i do nevertheless think that his visit did help to build bridges and bring the different faiths and people together. His message was one of Peace and respect for religious freedom. I think that the Pope is a courageous man to take on such a visit at this age, but it highlights to me that he is a man of holiness and of God.I think he should be given credit where credit is due Paul |

Top marks for effort anyway. I won't be holding my breath for any reciprocal initiative Ronan |
