UKRAINIAN POLITICIANS hurled punches, smoke bombs and eggs around parliament yesterday, as a majority voted to allow Russia’s navy to use a base on Ukraine’s Black Sea coast until 2042.

Despite this incident, the members were able to finally agree on a decision on this which was to allow the russian navy to extend its stay.

So does it make sense to let off a little steam from time to time Cool

I don't pretend to know the inner workings of why Ukraine would allow Russia to continue to use the Black Sea port. I don't know if Russia is paying them. I don't know if a majority of members are afraid of retaliation if Ukraine doesn't allow use of the port. It could be something completely different. One thing I DO know is that Ukrainian parliamentary members will be very blessed indeed if smoke bombs and eggs are the ONLY things hurled their direction in the next 32 years. Good luck, Ukranians!!!!

I saw this clip yesterday in the news. I thought it was great.

The problem was for Ukraine is that their economy needed a boost and the trade off with Russia for allowing them to use the port is cheap gas prices.

The Ukraine has always been pro West since the fall of the USSR, hence the strong opposition to the agreement.

More amazing that the scenes, is that half an hour later the Parliament was back debating the next subject.

Point was made, lets move on....
